American Girl Book Club

Does your child love to read the American Girl Doll books?

Our American Girl Book Club meets once a month to discuss a book the members have voted on.

During the discussion, children learn to identify the protagonist, antagonist, and conflict in the story.

Participants will also enjoy a fun craft and light refreshments.

This months book is “The One and Only: A Maryellen Classic” and copies of the book are available at the Endicott Library. Dolls are welcome!

Learn the Arabic Alphabet

The Main Library is offering free Arabic lessons in the month of April.  This 5 week session will meet Tuesdays from 4:00-4:30.  Please be sure to register as space is limited.

This event will be Live Streamed on Facebook on the Dedham Library page.

Bee Curious: Gifts from the Hive

Learn how to make your own salves that heal and moisturize the skin using beeswax, plant oils, and healing herbs. We will make a version that takes advantage of the natural soothing and anti-inflammatory properties found in pure beeswax.

Join Dedham Parent Time at the library every month for a STEAM inspired craft or activity! This will be held the last Thursday of each month at 4:30 PM at the Endicott branch of the library. Activity is free and supplies will be provided by DPT.  Parent Time members and non-members are welcome!
 

May 30-Rain Cloud in a Jar

On May 30, we will be exploring weather as we make a rain cloud in a jar. Come learn what happens when it rains and make it rain yourself!.  This event is free and all are welcome to attend, but we ask that you register in order to make sure we have enough materials.

Endicott Library’s Anime Club presents Anime Movie Night Feat: Your Name. Enjoy Japans highest grossing Animated movie of all time with Japanese and American snacks at your local library.
Your Name follows a teenage boy and girl embark on a quest to meet each other for the first time after they magically swap bodies.
This event is FREE and open to fans of animation of all ages!
Your Name is rated PG.

Dungeons and Dragons in the world of RWBY (Session B)

Hunter and Huntresses of Reminent! Join the fight to stop the evil Grimm from destroying our world. As students of Beacon Academy you will be sent on your first mission, to find a missing artifact destroyed by a Grimm invasion centuries ago.

This mission starts on March 13th from 5:30-7:30pm at Endicott Library.

Bring your level 4, RWBY styled character to our mission. If you don’t have one, you can use a proxy Hunter or Huntress provided as your avatar for the fight. I believe in you my students.

Writers Guild Seminar for Teens

Do you love creative writing?
Would you like a chance to explore and develop your writing skills?
Then gather round for the Writers Guild Seminar for Teens April 23rd from 6-8pm at the Main Library hosted by Tobi and Melissa.
Choose a 3 sentence writing prompt and in 300 words or less, create a story based off that prompt to share.
Show off your creative writing abilities or hone your skills with the help of our own creative writing team!

Magic the Gathering Feat Archenemy: Nicol Bolas

Magic: the Gathering’s most powerful foe Nicol Bolas has come to the Dedham Public Library and we need your help to stop him! Only together can we hope to defeat him in this new Magic: the Gathering format Archenemy. It’s one vs all as one player becomes Nicol Bolas and the others try to take him down.

Are you new to Magic: the Gathering? We have starter decks availible for all players to learn.

Free and casual play is welcomed at this event for all ages.
