Fixit Clinic

Fixit Clinic celebrates repair through all-ages do-it-together hands-on fix-n-learn community-based discovery and disassembly; people bring their broken, non-functioning things — electronics, appliances, computers, toys, bicycles, sewing machines, fabric items, etc.– for assessment, disassembly, and — hopefully — repair.

For more information go to www.fixitclinic.org.

If you’re interested in volunteering as a Fixit Coach please contact Gianna at gbird@minlib.net

Classical Guitar Performance with Joseph Halajko

Join us for an evening of beautiful music with classical guitarist Joseph Halajko. Halajko will introduce each piece, providing background information about the original composer and music period.

The Hungarian-born Halajko has been a guitar teacher and performer for over 30 years. He gave recitals in Boston, New York, Toronto, Munich, and in Budapest. In Budapest, he was a performing artist member of the State Philharmonic — the organization for public concerts of classical music. Halajko has performed with the Boston Chamber Orchestra, the Strings of Europe viola-guitar duet, the Franz Liszt Academy of Music Chamber Orchestra, the Fukuda-Halajko flute-guitar duet, and he was principal guitarist in the guitar quartet at The Boston Conservatory. He performed for the Connecticut Classical Guitar Society, and had a live lecture-recital program on television in Cambridge, MA.

All ages are invited, no registration required.

Intro to Magic: The Gathering

Do you like card games? Want to play a game with strategy and cool characters? Join Tobi as he brings out your plainswalker spark and shows you how to play Magic: The Gathering at Endicott Library August 21st from 6:00 to 8:00pm.

Each new player will get their own deck to take home as well as a random plainswalker card for participating! While this event is geared towards newer players, experienced players can bring their decks or use a deck provided by Tobi to battle each other.

This event is geared towards ages 10 and up.

3D Printing for Kids

Tinkercad is a great piece of software for people just beginning to explore the world of 3d printing. As we learn to use this simple but powerful tool, we will also review some guidelines and suggestions for getting your item printed right the first time. We will also go over some places to find already existing designs on the web.

This event is for ages 8+!
