Have you heard of the ABCs? Not those ABCs, but the ones that have to do with bicycling? Join our friends from the MA Safe Routes to School program for a virtual bike session. We want to make sure you and your bike are ready for a full summer of biking in your neighborhood. Our program is targeted to students in grades 3-6, but since it’s virtual, invite your brothers and sisters, and parents to join in!
If you have a bike or a helmet, bring them to the session with you!
Please be sure to register on Eventbrite!
“Science and stories, together!” Join us for a virtual showing of a ScienceTellers program called “Dragons: Return of the Ice Sorceress.” The event will be hosted LIVE through Zoom on Thursday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m.
Watch a fun, fantasy adventure and along the way you’ll discover just how ‘cool’ matter can be! Throughout the showing, the host will answer questions, conduct polls/quizzes, and even teach a science experiment you can do at home. No Zoom account is required to watch, but you DO need to register with us on Eventbrite. Don’t miss out!
A secure link to the Zoom session will be emailed to you prior to the event. Have questions or for more information, please email Youth Services Librarian, Laura, at email@example.com.
While the library may be closed for fun events, we still want to make sure you have a fun summer. Sign-up on Eventbrite for a craft kit of the week!
Please request as many craft kits as there are children that will be doing them. This week we will be painting dog banks! Kits are available for curbside pick up on Tuesday, June 30. Once you’ve reserved your kit online, stop by the library between 11-12 and 2-4 to pick up your kit. When you get to the library stay in your car, and call the library at 781-751-9283. A staff member will bring the kit to your car.
Children may complete crafts right away or join us on Zoom on Thursday, July 2 at 2:00 p.m. to do the craft with us or to show off their completed craft.
Please contact Laura Connell at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or if you have questions. Supplies are limited. If you think you will need additional markers or paints for at home please contact us.
